The Choir of Gonville & Caius College of Cambridge is one of Britain’s premiere collegiate choirs, its 22 vocalists and two organ scholars, under director Geoffrey Webber, performing in scores of major cities on several continents a repertoire of sacred and secular choral pieces which range in time from the 14th century to the present and in content from traditional Anglican hymns to folk songs and commissioned contemporary works. Their program tonight includes masterworks of Renaissance polyphony, and English anthems of a century ago, sung both a cappella and with organ accompaniment.
